Sands Point Preserve Wedding

New York wedding

This Sands Point Preserve wedding was an exquisite celebration laced with love and bound by style. Sands Point Preserve, often also referred to as Hempstead House is an iconic, historic wedding venue. Nestled along the water, the former mansion home is located on the grounds of the Guggenheim Estate. Originally constructed in 1912, the mansion is altogether the embodiment of the extraordinary lifestyle of the Gilded Age. Subsequently, Sands Point Preserve is now a wedding venue that hosts grand-scale wedding days, with accommodations for up to 300 guests.

Stephanie and Justin’s wedding day at Sands Point Preserve was the embodiment of their love story. However, the design and decor drew inspiration from the distinctive wedding venue. Overlooking the waters of the Long Island sound, Stephanie and Justin’s wedding ceremony took place in the gardens. Their ceremony was set among the scenic pathways and verdant greenery. Abundant white floral arrangements lined the aisle, accenting guests’ seating. Meanwhile, a flurry of lush white florals framed Stephanie and Justin’s chuppah. Reciting their sacred vows of marriage, the couple were joined together as one under this ornate yet sacred structure which symbolizes the home they will build together as husband and wife.

Stephanie and Justin’s wedding reception celebration took place in the sunken palm court. Formerly used as a bird aviary, in the time of its heyday the palm court featured over one hundred and fifty species of rare orchids, plants, and potted trees. Today, the magnificence of this space is accentuated by the glowing sconces, stone archways, and Tudor-style windows. In the center of the space, a working stone fountain trickles lightly as guests take their seats.

All in all, the attire for Stephanie and Justin’s wedding day was classic black tie formal. In particular, guests came to their wedding dressed in black suits with bowties and stunning floor-length gowns. Within the reception space king’s tables awaited the guest’s arrival, replete with softly lit candles and low-profile floral arrangements. Carefully placed chivari chairs were lined up in anticipation of the fun celebration ahead. The magnificence of the grand space was enhanced by the couple’s approach to an elegant wedding day with a monotone color palette and a focus on graceful design elements.

When the celebration was in full swing, Stephanie changed from her sleek bridal gown into a short and fun reception dress. The nighttime look featured a ruffled skirting which allowed Stephanie to take to the dance floor, and spend the night in celebration with her husband.
