Catskills engagement session

engagement session

Thrilled to share this stunning engagement shoot with Daisy & Josh. This beautiful couple met in 2015 when they both attended grad school in London, so their relationship was much of the time long distance between London and NYC!

I feel so lucky to be booked by such incredibly kind and caring and clients and Daisy & Josh are no exception. It is always an honour to capture engagement photos for joyous happy couples!

Along with this session, I thought I’d share 3 of my top tips for engagement shoots with me.

Anna’s Tip Number 1 : Wear comfortable chic clothing to make sure you feel natural in front of the camera. It might seem obvious but sometimes you can over worry about what you wear for your engagement portraits when ultimately, we want to capture you both, in love and feeling joyous!

Anna’s Tip Number 2 : I personally absolutely love capturing portraits when the sunlight is a little low in the sky. There is a special time well known by photographers called ‘golden hour’ and this is usually an hour just before sunset and an hour just before sunrise. Whilst it’s great to get portraits during this time, the hours usually before golden hour in the afternoon to evening are absolutely perfect.

Anna’s Tip Number 3 : Don’t over think how you’ll pose! I will direct and lead you through our time together and honestly, it’s a lot easier than you think. Even for the most camera shy, we can create the most calming and magical time for your portraits. These are photos that’ll last a lifetime and remind you of that short sweet moment of being blissfully engaged!
