The Creek Club Long Island Wedding

New York wedding

This classic, black-tie wedding at The Creek Club in Long Island was elegantly understated.

My beautiful couple let love take center stage for their Long Island wedding. Their style was classic, and their love story was unique. The groom had originally planned to propose during their first overseas trip together, to Scotland. But the pandemic derailed their travel plans so the groom used this romantic backup plan instead!

From the bride:

“On August 22, 2020 (mid-COVID), a bagpiper came around the hedge at Johnny’s house in Southampton, and at that moment he proposed. He said to me  “since I couldn’t propose in Scotland, I brought Scotland to you”.

What an amazing story they will have to tell their families for generations to come!

When their wedding day arrived, my couple began their day with a few moments together during their first look. It was a deeply personal moment for each of them and it also allowed us some time together to capture those few precious moments before their ceremony began.

For their ceremony, my couple had a traditional church wedding at St. Johns in Cold Spring Harbor. St. John’s was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The picturesque, timber-constructed church overlooks the serene waters of the harbor, making it an idyllic location for couples that want to have a religious union.

The wedding reception was held at The Creek Club of Long Island. Providing window seating on the balcony, for a reception overlooking the sea.
